About Us
The Joint Line Apprenticeship Training Association (JLATA) is a not-for-profit organization established February 2, 1993 by Power Line Contractors signatory to the Master Line Agreement (“Employers”) and the Local 258 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (“IBEW”), for the management, development and overseeing of the Power Line Technician Apprenticeship Program in British Columbia.
Employers are the Power Line Contractors in British Columbia signatory to the Master Line Agreement with the Local 258 IBEW.
Local 258 IBEW is the labour union that represents 4,500 workers in the electric utility, private power line, utility arborist, manufacturing and traffic control I\industries in the Province of British Columbia.
Board of Directors are comprised of representatives from the Employers and the Local 258 IBEW.
